0 The Lion announced that he was very sick and asked the animals to come and see him one last time. So the Goat went into the Lion's cave, and stayed there visiting for a long time. Then Skeep went in. Before she came out, the Calf also went into the cave to visit the lion. But soon the Lion seemed to be feeling better and came to the front of his cave. The lion saw the Fox, who kad been waiting outside for some time. "Why do you not come to pay your respects to me?" said the lion to the Fox. "Please excuse me," said the Fox, "but I noticed all of the animals that have already come in to visit you, I see many hoof-marks going in, but I see none coming out. Until the animals that have entered gour cave come out again I prefer to remain in the open air."

Moral of story =Take warning from the misfortunes of others.

After a feast, two cats see a piece of cake and start fighting for it. A monkey sees this as an opportunity for gain and offers to help them. The monkey divides the cake into two parts but shakes its head saying they are unequal. He takes a bite of one piece and then the other, but still finds them unequal. He continues doing so until there is no more cake left, leaving the poor little cats disappointed. 

Moral: When you quarrel amongst yourselves, someone else gains from it.

Every day, Kanchhi the elephant went to the river to take a bath. She always stopped by the fruit shop. She did not go away until Me Thapa save her a banana. Mrs Thapa did not like this. She was an unkind woman. One day, Mr Thapa was not at his shop. Mrs Thapa was at the shop. Kanchhi came and waited for her banana. Mrs Thapa did not give her any banana. Mrs Thapa drove ber away with a stick. Kanchhi was angry. She went to the river and had her both. Then, she filed her trunk with water. She went back to the fruit shop. She splashed Mrs Thapa with the water. Mrs Thapa was wet all over

Moral of story = tit for tat.

0  Mouse Once a little mouse who lived in the country invited a little mouse from the city to visit him. When the little City Mouse sat down to dinner he was surprised to find that the Country Mouse had nothing to eat except grains of maize and rice. "Really," he said,"you do not live well at all; you should see how I live! I have all sorts of fine things to eat every day. You must come to visit me and see how nice it is to live in the city." The little Country Mouse was glad to do this, and after a while he went to the city to visit his friend. The very first place that the City Mouse took the Country Mouse to see was the kitchen cupboard of the house where he lived. There, on the lowest shelf, behind some jars, stood a big paper bag of sugar. The little City Mouse gnawed a hole in the bag and invited his friend to DOD nibble for himself. 0 There was once rather a vain cow. She was plain white with two nice curly horns. She thought she looked rather nice - but she did wish she could have some nice black spots over her back. There were no spotted cows in the field at all, and the white cow thought it would be grand to be the only spotted cow. Now one day, when she was munching long, juicy grass that grew in the hedge, she came across a small pixie mixing black paint in a pot. the 'What are you doing?' asked the cow. 'I'm mixing my black paint,' said the little fellow. 'I'm the pixie that paints the spots on the ladybirds, you know.' 'Oh,' said the cow. 'Well, will you paint some on me?' "Yes, if you give me a nice drink of milk,' said the pixie. In a long line stood about twenty ladybirds with bright red backs and no spots. The pixie neatly painted seven black spots on each red back, and the ladybirds flew off in delight. 'I don't mind doing that,' said the cow. 'You can find a tin mug and milk some of my creamy milk into it for yourself.' I'll just finish these ladybirds first,' said the pixie, and he turned back to his work. In a long line stood about twenty ladybirds with bright red backs and no spots. The pixie neatly painted seven black spots on each red back, and the ladybirds flew off happily.

There was a proud teak tree in the forest. He was tall and strong. There was a small herb next to the tree. The teak tree said, "I am very handsome and strong No one can defeat me". Hearing this the herb replied, "Dear friend, to much pride is harmful. Even the strong will fall one day". The teak ignored the herb's words. He continued to praise himself. A strong wind blew. The teak stood firmly. Even when it rained, the teak stood strong by spreading its leaves. At the same time, the herb bewed low. The teak made fun of the herb. One day there was a storm in the forest. The herb bowed low. As usual the teak did not want to bow. The storm kept growing stronger. The teak could no longer bear it. He felt his strength giving way. He fell down. This was the end of the proud tree. When everything was calm the herb stood straight. He looked around. He saw the proud teak had fallen.

Moral : Too much pride can be the reason for your fall.
